Holiday Chocolate Shopping List
I love getting gifts for family and friends when I see something that reminds me of them at any time of the year, but if you give me a looooooong list of holiday shopping to do and several places to check to find everything on that list, that overwhelms me! And especially during the busiest time of the year!
So how I stay well and not let the list make me unwell every holiday season, is two parts:
I shop all year and if I see something that reminds me of someone, I buy it and save it in my “gift drawer” until Christmas or whenever I see them!
I get everyone, chocolates for Christmas!
Geting everyone the same thing for Christmas that is sweet and simple, seriously makes MY life sweeter and simpler! And they’re happy too!
I have an Aunty Lynn who used to be the chocolate gifter when I was growing up. Every year, every family could expect that she would gift us a bag full of assorted chocolates. It was personally one of my favorite gifts to get (because I’m a chocolate lover of course) and I’d be excited with anticipation every year knowing this was what we were going to get from her. It was fun for us and I’m sure for her, a lot easier to get everyone the same thing, year after year!
So now, I am the chocolate aunty who does this!
Everyone on my list (teachers, neighbors, pastors, volunteer friends, kids’ friends, doctors, families, friend, etc) all get Choco le`a chocolates! And you know what? They love it! They never complain, always look forward to it, and I use my same Christmas list every year, make some adjustments, keep or adjust my budget column, then fill in the gift column with the chocolates that hit my budget price point whether it be $5, $10, $20, $30, $50, or $100! I always find something for everyone including those I need to ship gifts to too!
