Prince Waikiki Hotel

Okay now I need to share my personal favorite place to staycation - The Prince Waikiki Hotel.

There are a ton of beautiful places to stay in Hawai`i, but this hotel in particular is my favorite for several reasons:

  1. The view - All rooms come with a view of the harbor and ocean with floor to ceiling windows, optional opening for fresh air.

  2. Privacy - Located on the outskirts of Waikiki, I feel like this hotel is more low key, less foot traffic around the hotel lobby except for guests and those dining, and with no balconies, you feel completely alone in your room without seeing someone else on the adjacent balcony.

  3. Quality - Rooms are always clean, spacious, feel safe, and recently renovated!

  4. Service - Always received the best Kama`aina service from EVERYONE in this establishment from phone reservations, to drinks and food at the pool.

  5. Food - 100 Sails and Katsumidori on property have delicious food, Honolulu Coffee Company + 2 complimentary coffees at check in, and room service is available for convenience!

  6. Rate - They have the best deal for locals! The most bang for your buck with current resort fees waived, in and out self parking comped, and rooms starting at just $179 per night with often times early check in and late check out available due to the low occupancy. The time is now!

  7. Bed, Bath, & Couch - Their bed is actually suuuuuuuper comfortable! The room is cool, the automatic window blinds are adjustable for just the right amount of light or none at all, a spacious bathroom, and for me, it’s the corner couch with lots of plugs so I can sit and work in the corner of the room with a view of the beauty of Hawai`i outside!

There are so many other things about this hotel that I love like their seating in the lobby, office center, fitness center, infinity adult only pool overlooking the harbor, outdoor seating, and proximity to Ala Moana Shopping Center and Beach Park, but because I mostly stay in the room on a staycation, it’s the room that I really wanted to share!

I am a self-proclaimed ambassador for this hotel! I stayed here twice in 2020 and have stayed twice in 2021 with more hopeful stays in the future to take advantage of their deals and because my goal is to staycation for 24 hours, once a quarter this year. :) I do not get paid to say this, I only share this because I have done the research and although I truly LOVE so many other properties, this is my top choice for a staycation alone!
