“Vivo” Kid Friendly Family Movie Night

Family movie night is a great way to chill, zone out, and just be together.

We will do this with our kids when we just need them to sit still for a while and we ourselves need that rest too. With just one TV in our house, that means we can’t split up to separate TV’s to go chill out and need to agree on something to watch together. This process helps our family to discuss options, argue our points, come to an agreement, take turns, and learn to take interest in each other’s interests. :p

Agreeing on the movie that two little kids and two adults will enjoy is always the most challenging part for us. So when we find one we all love, we’re happy to share it.

One of those movies is “Vivo.” It is such a heart warming story with super catchy music and lyrics, and just a really great feel-good with some pretty deep life lessons that hit home for adults, but are light-hearted for the kids. This was one that got two thumbs up in our home!

Others that we have enjoyed recently are “Sing 2” and “Encanto.” Please share your favorites with us in the comments too! And happy family movie night!

erin’s tip:
-Pair the movie with popcorn, Crunch a le`a, or a family favorite snack.
-Turn of all the lights in the room to make it feel different and exciting like you’re in the theatre.
-Throw pillows and blankets on the couch for extra comfort and cuddling.
-Pick a day of the week that everyone can look forward to for this!
