Istanbul

When I think of the entire experience at a restaurant, this was it for me! The food, the service, the ambiance down to the dishes was awesome.

I’ve been wanting to try Istanbul forever and finally got to meet my fellow SBA award winner, Chef Ahu, Women-owned business for the state of Hawai`i this past week. Her story with her mom and her healing through food is incredible.

Once seated, our server was attentive and kind all evening. The open kitchen made it fun for my wanna-be chef daughter to watch. Sitting in the corner, we felt spaced out from everyone, and everything looked neat and organized.

But the dishes! Oh the dishes! I am a sucker for fun cute dishes, presentation, and the entire experience along with taste. Everything from the beautifully designed napkin to the texture and flavors of the food was spot on.

We had the:

-Meze Platter (the perfect must-have recommended appetizer sampler by my friend, Shandis)
-Turkish Tahini Chocolate Custard (dessert)
-Pistachio Tahini Helva with Valrhona Chocolate Dondurma (dessert)

Istanbul, I’ll be back! Anyone want to go with me? :) For real?
