Between the Couch Cushions

Ten years after buying our first couch, we prepped to move with our almost 10 and almost 8 year old and as we moved the couch for the first time to actually clean below, between, and behind it, we found 10 years worth of hidden “treasures!”

All of the things that snuck through the cracks suddenly had my husband, the kiddos and I saying, “Oh that’s where that went!” and “I remember that.”

We mainly found small toys, snacks, and 16 pencils! Yup, 16 pencils were found in the cracks of the couch!

That’s what a decade of survival with littles leaves you…stains, stuff, and little time to clean. But it is also a wildly precious decade focused on not missing the special moments and letting the little things, like a dream clean house, go.

Every wonder what’s between the couch cushions?

It may not be valuable, but hopefully it’s stuffed with memories made on that couch, cuddling, snacking, watching movies, playing with toys, drawing, doing homework, etc.
