Neighborhood Walks

It has been two months since my first foot injury and the last time I could really run around and exercise. And if you’re struggling to find something active you can do daily too, try and start with a short neighborhood walk.

Not living my usual active lifestyle and exercising to de-stress has been a little challenging emotionally, but grateful to be on the road to recovery.

My Orthopedic Surgeon recently said I can now start walking for exercise. Just walking. In a few weeks it may be running or the opposite, physical therapy. And eventually, back to my loves of hiking and dancing.

It’s hard to go slow, but slow and steady, starting with something is better than nothing. If that’s you too, take a walk around the block. :) Enjoy the scenery. We’ll eventually get there.

erin’s tip

Since you’re going slow, you will have a good opportunity to see, stop, and smell the neighbor’s roses along the way. (literally)!
