2026 Word of the Year - Intentional

“Intentional”

I’m pretty sure this is the word that I felt God put in my heart for 2026. A year to step out with even more confidence and bold ambition to intentionally do what I know He put in my heart years and years ago that I kept giving up on. I needed to be intentional that this was going to be the year I started and didn’t give up.

I was going to be intentional about every decision. Everything I say yes to and everything I say no to. And I was going to be real and authentic staying true to who I am, what or who I believe in, and continue to serve others, even when it gets hard.

Having a word for the year really helps me to stay focused in the busyness of everything there is to do or you can do in business and because I pray about it and feel that it comes from my boss, God, it is like he sets the direction for all of us and then I can create a strategic plan around that.

As I sit here wondering what is God’s intentions exactly, I turn to where God talks to us every day…in the Bible. I use Gemini to help me find a scripture about being “intentional,” I find a well-known one from Proverbs. I pray you will trust in the Lord too and he gives you your word for the year.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” -Proverbs 3:5-6
