Looking for something fun and new to do with the kids, family, or friends this summer? Check out Wai Kai in Kapolei just past Ho`akalei.

The signs that greet you in their brand new beautiful facility says it all – Surf, Swim, Shop, Dine. You can try or watch their famous surf wave pool, play on their floating obstacle course, or rent their equipment to paddle board, kayak, cycle, or peddle boat out to a chair floating out on the water.

This brand new facility is built for convenience with multiple showers, changing stations, hydrating water stations, chairs, and three places to eat! A grab and go stand, a nice casual restaurant, and a very nice restaurant/bar with a view! Everything you could crave can be found here from soft serve, shave ice, ice pops, and musubi, to poke, burgers, fries, pizza, pasta, and cocktails. Read more about the food at The Lookout blog.

This place seems ideal for big team events or retreats or parties. If you live out on the Kapolei side, you need to check it out. They even have membership if you plan to go often so you can get access to warm showers and their private room.

My host dad from Japan, my dad, and I had a blast paying just $25 for one hour to rent out the devices and tried 3 of the 4 in that time. And I will definitely be back with the kids to try that obstacle course this summer!
