Tantalus Lookout

Looking for a spot in town with a beautiful view? We love taking visitors to Tantalus.

You can see Diamond Head, Waikiki, Kaka`ako, and much more, and may even catch a rainbow going over Manoa valley.

There’s a picnic area with two covered picnic tables, fun trees to climb, paved parking, and a restroom. I highly recommend picking up plate lunches and some snacks to sit there, relax, and enjoy. There’s also a scenic spot that some folks take a blanket or fold out chairs to, to lay out on.

And of course, you must take a photo.

It’s free to go up there and doesn’t take long to drive up just around Punahou and escape above it all.
