Eagle’s Lookout Lodge

I am a newbie to the Air B&B world, but my very first experience was AMAZING!

For my 40th birthday, I opted for a quick quiet getaway over a raging party and I’m so glad I did. My two best friends who frequently do Air B&B sent me a list of places in Washington to choose from and we selected Eagle Lookout Lodge in Gig Harbor mainly because of it’s big outdoor deck among the trees, views of the Pudget Sound, tons of space for each of us to have our own bedroom and bathroom, and its proximity to where one of my friends lived in Seattle.

Just a 45 minute drive away, we found out this was the cleanest Air B&B they’ve stayed in as it was recently established in 2023! It had the wood cabin feels and high ceilings, fireplace and fire pit I wanted, and the hot tub another friend wanted.

What I didn’t expect was just how many beds there were (enough to sleep 12), the super soft carpet, and absolute peace and quiet away from everything with only the sound of birds and the rustle of three small doe that roamed around the property.

It felt like we were secluded away, but not too far away from other charming houses and the main town just a 10 minute drive away. More about Gig Harbor in a blog HERE.

We went in mid April and the weather was nice and chilly in the 50’s during the day and high 40’s at night. The whole place cost us about $300 per night and split three ways (or up to twelve if you want to make it a retreat with the family or more people) and that’s a steal!

My review of a first time Air B&B is I’d much rather do this over booking a hotel room! I feel much more relaxed with the basics like a big refrigerator, microwave, sink, and even washer and dryer.

Melissa, our host, had everything in this spot that we might need from shampoo, conditioner, and soap, to towels, laundry detergent, Ziploc bags, plastic wrap, and everything else. Other perks we found was a cabinet full of games and a garage that was basically turned into a game room.

Instructions were clear, restaurant recommendations provided, WiFi, Smart TV, basically like switching houses with someone for a few days. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, recommend this place and would definitely love to come back.

If you’ve been hesitant about Air B&B, I understand. It took me years to give it a try and went with two friends who knew how it worked and said of their experiences, this was one of the best!

This is all I know, but it’s enough to make me want to do an Air B&B again!

Ready to go on an adventure and feel like you’re getting away, but have all the comfort of things at home with people you love? Book an Air B&B in Gig Harbor at the Eagle’s Lookout Lodge!
