Doing Laundry

Teach the kids how to do the laundry!

It’s something that piles up all throughout the week and it feels like there’s loads to do every weekend. So I started teaching the kids how to do their own laundry and two key things made the difference to their sucess:

  1. Get a cute laundry basket they love and can carry for easy loading/unloading.

  2. Get Earth Breeze sheets!

We were using liquid detergent and I noticed the kids had a hard time dispensing it from the container, then reaching up to pour it in the section they cannot see. This is the one thing they didn’t like about doing the laundry, was this part because they always got frustrated with the bulky detergent and then getting messy hands they had to go back inside and wash before continuing.

So when I heard about Earth Breeze sheets that are easy to load, earth-friendly, safe, and costs about $0.20 a sheet, I gave it a try. And we love it! And so do the kids! With Earth Breeze, it’s a breeze!

They are now helping me carry the load (literally…of laundry) and learning more responsibilities around the house as they get older.

Watch your kids as they do chores and see what frustrates them. Figure out together if there’s another solution or something you can change about your routine so that everyone can be successful at it.
