Saturday’s Ward Farmer’s Market

Everyone’s been talking about this market from 8am - 12pm on Saturdays and our family finally had the chance to go!

It was soooo fun to see other small local businesses and entrepreneurs doing their thing. I can totally relate and know the hard work to prep, set up, the all day hustle, and the clean up. Truthfully, it was HOT, but imagine how hot they must be working so hard? So I was happy we could support others chasing their dreams.

Here are a few of the things we tried:

  • Wallflower - Japanese Milk Bread & Black Sesame Chocolate Croissant (Erin’s choice & fave)

  • Dean & Deluca - Short Rib Sandwich & Seafood Marinara Cold Cappelini (Erin’s choice)

  • JDM808 Enterprises - Egg Salad Sandwich & Pork Katsu Sandwich (Chris’s choice)

  • Wahine Brand Lemonade - Lemonade & Strawberry (Everyone choice - it was super hot)

  • Frozen Fun - Chocolate Fruity Pebble Swirl (gluten & dairy free) (Conner’s choice)

  • Boba Brothers - Tiger Milk Boba (Aubrey’s choice)

We then took all of our goodies to another nearby park, spread out a towel, and enjoyed it fresh. It was nice that we all got to pick something we wanted to try, and try each other’s so next time, we know we will try something different and go back to a few of our favorites!

erin’s tip

It’s hot…so dress accordingly. Bring a bottle of iced water, a big light-weight bag to carry your goodies in + cash (especially coins if you hope to find metered street parking nearby). I also liked paying with cash and having cash tips on hand. It made the check out process a lot quicker and I was able to
