Vein Kaka`ako

Cooking runs through his veins and you can tell when you taste Chef Dell’s food at Vein Kaka`ako!

It’s a space with swag in the middle of happening hot spot, SALT Kaka`ako, that I have been wanting to try since the chef and owner, is such a nice guy. And when we went for a date night, everything was spot on!

Service by Ryan and the other 3 people who dropped food or checked on us was fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious. The food came out really fast, the prices were surprisingly very reasonable, and the presentation was great!

My husband had a few drinks he enjoyed and we shared the Vein proscuitto salad and steak crostini to start. The steak on the crostini was so soft followed by that delicious crostini crunch! Chris had the lamb which he swallowed up and loved and I had the bolognese which is always a favorite dish of mine and this one was not too rich. We rounded it out with dessert, which we usually don’t do on our date nights, but we had their bread pudding a la mode and let me tell you, it’s probably the BEST bread pudding I’ve had anywhere! And I’m not a bread pudding kind of gal, but my husband is.

Oh and great tip, I learned instead of happy hour, they have something called pasta hour where all pastas are 18% off before 6pm! Sweet deal!

Bravo Chef Dell and the team at Vein!

Word of mouth is powerful and I can tell you, we’d be happy to come here again!
