Summer Time At Choco le`a

This is probably the most exciting summer at Choco le`a ever because we have sweet treats for the hot season! This year, we have our iced chocolate drink AND our own original soft cream with Hokkaido based ingredients and our very own chocolate!

It has been a huge hit with the most awesome reviews for the past 3 months since it launched and many have said it’s the best soft cream on the island! It’s so good to see everyone come back again and again since this is a labor of love with fresh small batches made throughout the week with quality ingredients.

Plus our recently renovated porch area has seating for at least 8 so you can make us a sweet stop as you build summer memories. Take a bathroom break, take pictures outside the “super cute/kawaii” spot, and take in the majestic green Manoa mountains.

If you have guests coming to Hawai`i, one thing I did was give them a custom pikake lanyard with a Choco le`a gift card inside so they could go shopping at the store. They were thrilled! I wish I had videotaped their reaction to their gift and their excitement to shop!

It’s a great way to welcome someone to Hawai`i or send them off as they stock up on their made in Hawai`i, only available in Hawai`i omiyage to take home.

And that’s not all. This summer, we expanded to open The Chocolate House just above the shop offering hands-on tours, tastings, events and more. So besides coming to Manoa for the famous Manoa Falls hike, a visit to Lyon Arboretum, coffee from Morning Glass, or poke lunch from Off the Hook, you can now come directly to Choco le`a for a unique and engaging experience.
