Piccola Onda

Ok this little pasta wagon needs its own post!!

I mentioned it in places to eat in Waikiki and this spot is not the easiest to find tucked in the of Alohilani Hotel and up a ramp, but it’s well worth the walk around the building! AND I discovered they have the BEST panna cotta I’ve ever had! So good that I daydream about it and look at my schedule to see when I can go to Waikiki again to have it. :P

I’ll let the pictures below show you what I got (not pictured here, but also loved the Amatricana). Let’s just say when I had the opportunity to go, I got 3 plates for myself and dessert. That’s how good it is to me.

erin’s tip

Park at the Alohilani Hotel. Walk out onto Kalakaua, turn towards diamond head, at the end of the building by Hagan Daaz turn left towards the mountain. Walk down that street and you’ll see their sign + Double Fat Ice Cream painted on the building and next to a drive up ramp on the left hand side. Walk up that ramp and you’ll see the truck! Check the hours before you go and plan to wait 15-20 minutes for your food. And don’t forget to order the Panna Cotta! :p
