Make It Simple with a Salad Bar
Are you trying to have some healthy options this holiday season and it feels like you’re constantly stuffing yourself from one family get-together after another?
Make it fun for them, and easier for you, and offer to bring a “salad bar!” Aka some washed greens and a pretty tray with all different toppings that everyone can pick and choose what they want to put in their salad and pick and choose their dressing too! :) Pau!
Here are some suggestions for your salad bar:
Avocado
Tomato
Tofu
Croutons
Cranberries
Pumpkin seeds
Onion or won ton chips
Get creative and there’s are no rules here! Also, our family LOVES the Kewpie deep roasted sesame dressing! It goes good on everything! You’re welcome. ;)

If you in particular are trying to eating balanced meals and know there won’t be a good option for salad, volunteer to bring the salad. Then you’re in control of something that will be offered and you can make it great encouraging everyone else to get on board and put some greens on their plate!
