Kahai Kitchen

We needed to order plate lunches for a picnic and my husband suggested Kahai Kitchen. It was my first time to this place on Coolidge street in Moiliili, but not my last.

At about $16-20 per plate lunch, we were all very, very happy with the food! And the service was great too! Here’s what we ordered:

• Osso plate

• Loco moco combo

• Sauteed opaka (my fave)

• Hoisin pork rib

• Porky’s cheeseburger

• Hibachi chicken

• Charbroiled catch

• Braised boneless shortribs

Food was ono and we found our forks digging into each others’ plates for a sampler of all the local flavors. And the cute unexpected touch, was the encouraging little notes the team left on the top of each plate!

Finding peace by piece:

The notes on the plates reminded me that we can all do something to bring a smile to someone else. Even beyond great food, a final personal touch makes everything that much better!
