Gig Harbor Restaurants

There were two restaurants recommended by the locals at Gig Harbor Washington, and they perfectly hit the spot! When in a maritime town like here, one must eat fish and chips, Caesar salad, and clam chowder. All of this was available and absolutely delicious at Tides Tavern. Right next to the pier, this place is for 21 and over only! They do take out and we took the essentials back to our Air B&B just a 10 minute drive away. Highly recommend!

The second restaurant was a little fancier, but we loved it so much we went twice! This place is adorable and makes you want to stay a while and share a glass of wine over a great conversation. We had dinner inside with the best service (shout out to Bree) and tried their special Halibut which was very tasty, their tomato style clam chowder soup, which was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the French baguette with butter and olive oil that was just so, so, so good!

Then for lunch the next day, it was nice and cool and sunny skies so we sat on the patio overlooking the pier and had to have the same soup and bread. We also tried their pasta which was creamy perfection, and their steak and fries which was something that made me close my eyes to chew because I wanted all my senses to focus on that incredible taste. Soft tender steak, with perfectly paired seasoning, crispy on the outside and soggy inside fries, and balanced out with a fresh salad. It was food heaven!

We didn’t get to try a few of the other restaurants, but I bet there’s more food favorites in Gig Harbor waiting to be explored!

finding peace by piece:

Ask the locals where to go. They know. Then ask them what to get. It’s a sure bet!
