In The Word
Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of signs from God. Literal signs (“Rough Road Ahead,” “Detour,” “No Loitering”) and feel like He’s trying to send me a message.
And every morning in my daily routine, I open my Bible to read a chapter and recently got to the book of Nehemiah…and there God was!
I mean, He’s always there in our Bibles, but when my heart was really seeking to hear from Him, He was in the Word as usual with so much to say!
I suppose He was giving me signs to make sure I really got back into the Word and not just read as part of my routine, but really listened for Him. In the book of Nehemiah, He was giving me so many timely messages about leadership, rebuilding, teamwork, courage, focus, obedience, and faithfulness paragraph after paragraph in this one short book.
Sometimes I think we try to figure things out on our own when it really could be much simpler. If we just opened our Bible and read and studied, journaled, and listened, we might find ourselves underlining every other paragraph with so much wisdom directly from our Creator, who has the best advice for work and life!
Don’t hear from God?
Here’s your reminder to get back into the Word if you’re not already or really listen when you’re reading it. Don’t just skim the pages, but let Him talk to you because HE is IN THE WORD!
