Well Stocked Shelves

Thank you to whoever stocked these shelves! Seriously, if you stock shelves, I applaud the work you do too!

Did you know simple beautiful things can make others happy? And having well stocked shelves says you are anticipating our arrival and you want everything to be set to greet us and put your best food forward.

That’s how I felt walking into this small Italian restaurant and market in a little community and how I want others to feel when they step into our small chocolate shop tucked into the back of Mānoa Valley.

This darling little spot served pasta, wine, cheese, chocolates, oil, and other charcuterie type things and they were all lined up along the lemon shelves. This place made me want to browse and shop vs the the busy and stuffed convenient store next door.

From the bubbly and passionate knowledgeable workers to the set tables, to the perfectly crafted pasta, to the shop with shelves aligned with beautifully packaged craft products, they were welcoming us in and welcoming us to take a bit of them home with us so we could relive this experience again!

Sometimes I would say in our shop, “Is the store ready for Jesus?” An expression that the shop is so well stocked, tidy, and neat, that it would welcome the King of Kings and we would be proud to invite Him in to see what we were doing.

Are your shelves well stocked?

Whether at your work or in your home, even if simply a well “stocked” nightstand with a book, a pen, a scented candle, and a lamp, let’s find peace by piece in our days by putting some pride into where we are, what we do, and how it may be for.

“So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” -Matthew 24:44
