Christmas at the Chocolate House

A dream of mine has always been to own a house in Mānoa. And though I don’t own it nor live in it, I did get to rent a space above the chocolate shop this year and lovingly named it, The Chocolate House.

It is my work home and a home that was opened to others to host hands-on chocolate tours, tastings, talks, and whatever else God had in mind. It has been a crazy 9 months so far since adding on this space, and so much time and work went into it, but we’re finally slowing down for the holiday season to transform it into storage for the inventory we need to store in the season, and a space for comfort and joy.

So I brought out the decor and tidings of comfort and joy! ;)

Happy Birthday Jesus! Thank you for this space that you allowed us to grow in personally and professionally. Though it was a very busy year, we were busily touching lives up here and now, we will slow down this season to honor you for what you’ve done (and will continue to do) and put our trust in you for the holidays.

As we put a pause to events upstairs, we never put a pause on what He can and will do.

Is there something your heart has been longing for but you just don’t know how you will ever get it and if you will ever get to call it your own?

Let’s find peace by piece in trusting in God’s timing and perfect plans. Even when we don’t know if we will ever get that space, how we will afford it, or when we can call it our home, we can still decorate for Christmas and celebrate where we are now and what He has done so far. After all, our real eternal home is not here…it is in heaven with Him.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” -Ecclesiastes 3:11
