Something is Off

Have you ever accidentally put on two different pairs of slippers and walked out the door?

I must admit, I’ve done this not just one or two times, but several times! It usually happens when I’m in a rush, and trying to do everything for everyone that I can’t think straight and in the moment. It’s so fast paced in my brain that I don’t even notice what’s wrong for a while. I just feel like something is off. Like it could be a little better and I could be a little more comfortable and I could walk a little better, and then when I get irritated enough or have a second to stay still, I look down and see why.

And it’s in that moment, I almost hear God chuckling and saying, “Oh boy Erin! You did it again. And everyone else can see what’s wrong, but it took you a while to figure it out.” :p

Do you feel like something is off?

Maybe you’re moving a bit too fast too and need to slow down to the present moment and realize, it’s a simple fix. Let’s find peace by piece by changing out one slipper and finding our footing again.

“Be still, and know that I am God…” -Psalm 46:10
