Discipline Quotes

Since my word for 2022 is “discipline,” then I guess there's something God wants me to be disciplined to learn this year. And by definition, discipline is “to train someone to obey rules or a code of behavior.”

That doesn’t sound fun, so here are some of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite motivational speakers, Trent Shelton, that I am posting up around my house to help me with my word. I’ve also started reading his book titled, “The Greatest You.” #rehabtime

  • “Protect your peace.”

  • “Don’t take your loved ones for granted.”

  • “Stop letting people who don’t love you keep you from loving yourself.”

  • “Stop letting people who don’t want to see you happy keep you from your happiness.”

  • “Don’t wait more than a day to take a small action on your dreams.”

  • “Best lesson I ever learned in life came from the worst feeling I ever felt in life. Even when it feels like it’s breaking you, it’s still mean to build you.”

  • “Sometimes what you want, isn’t what you need.”

  • “You’re not built for the life you want, you’re built for the life God gave you.”

  • “You are more than what you’re choosing to settle for. It’s time to start living like it. Straight up.”

  • “You get zero results from the 0% effort you put in. It’s on YOU. Nobody else…you! Let’s get it.”
