Book Signing & Sales

It has been almost 2 weeks of sales and I’ve sold about 200 books. My goal was to sell 2,000 by the end of March and with 3 weeks left to go, and a rate of 100 per week, I’ll probably more likely sell 500. It’s a lot less than I was hoping for, but of course somehow, God knew I couldn’t handle more.

You see, I totally forgot to think about all the things that come with selling and signing books. Like the logistics of actually doing it, organizing it, storing it, packing it, passing it. out, and the extra time it takes! LOL! OMG the 100 books per week is a transition since we are used to chocolates, but not chocolates and now books. Guess God knew I needed to start slow, a little at a time, just like the theme for this year.

I guess because I invested so much into this book (about a one year salary up front), that I know I need to sell 5,000 books on my own before I can let this go out to the world and let it run on its own life on Amazon, Target, Barnes n Noble etc and charge $35+ per book instead of $20.99 and make no profit from it. At that point, I’ll let the gospel spread like wildfire, but for now, I need to recoup my cost…..100 books at a time. Only. 4,800 more to go!
