Flat Tire

Got a spare tire? A rainy day fund? Or just a little extra bandwidth for those times you’ve swerved off the road of life and need to change your tire?

I had a few car problems and then quite a few more that kept happening after my van got broken into.

These one after another car troubles reminded me of life in general. You just don’t know what will happen sometimes and it’s out of your control. You didn’t see that nail on the road that landed and was pointing perfectly upward and then into your tire.

It is why we should have a spare or make sure we have a back up. Why a little money set aside for “misc repairs” or for when things like this happen comes in handy. Plus a little time to pull over when your driving starts getting a little weird and you can feel that “something is wrong.”

This all just reminded me that stuff like this happens. Be prepared for it. And don’t let it take you off the road. Change it. Fix it. And get back to driving friend. :)

Car maintenance and safety checks are like wellness checks for your car. We need to do the same every so often for ourselves. Check our hearts. Our schedule. Our bodies, our diets, our movement, our sleep, our finances, our family, etc. That way even when a little, but destructive nail punctures and stops our flow, we know we’ve got a spare and can get through it.
