Hearing God

I usually can hear God speak clearly. It’s a very audible whisper in my heart that comes out of nowhere and I just can’t shake it once I hear it. Whatever He says, it sticks with me. Even if it sounds crazy, again and again I have a total peace about it and what He says to do.

People often tell me they don’t hear God, but want to and ask how they can too. My response, by reading His word. Reading the Bible daily as soon as I wake up in the mornings at 4:30am before the rest of the world wakes up and starts chiming, buzzing, talking, and interrupting you….I go straight to my morning routine (no phone) and just spend time with God. As you read more and more, you begin to recognize His voice. He is always speaking, but often times we don’t recognize His voice because we don’t spend enough regular time with him or because we don’t make quiet time for Him to sit and patiently listen to what He has to say..

Harder said than done…I know. What I hear, I will share here.
