One Shabby Chick

This time of year, craft fairs are in full swing. I’ve always loved going to them with my mom as a kid, and now as an adult business owner, I appreciate seeing the passion and creations of other entrepreneurs even more!

I love going to craft fairs in hopes to discover a rising creator or re-visit an old gem that’s still standing the test of time. I love for my kids to meet the owners and see the people who work hard behind the brand first-hand.

I attended my first Aloha Home Market in Kailua and with just 1 hour to do holiday shopping for goodies without kids, this booth pulled me aside full stop.

The mix of patterns, prints, and colors were spot on. This chick had an eye for beauty and design and after a short sweet conversation, found out the sweetest lady in the booth turned out to be the owner, designer, and seamstress of One Shabby Chick.

I picked up a fanny pack and scrunchie for Aubrey and a mini coin purse for a gift. It had all of the things we loved slammed together. Rainbows, leopards, fruits, maps, flowers, patterns, touches of leather & buttons…and it all just worked.

You may already know One Shabby Chick, but if you don’t let me introduce you. :)

erin’s tip

Keep your eyes out for something that may not be as popular or as well marketed because you may just discover something that’s not too shabby! ;p
