20 for the next 20

“20 for the next 20,” is a prestigious recognition given out annually by Hawai`i Business Magazine and this year, I was honored and surprised to find myself on that list!

After 14 years of doing my work in Choco le`a, I have long stopped chasing awards and recognitions like I did in my early years and have really focused on how I am serving others through this amazing chocolate platform God has given me. What resulted, was the non-profit organization I have been serving with for the past 10 years, The Salvation Army, surprised me and nominated me for this award because of my commitment and heart to lead by serving.

In this big world with so many amazing people, like the outstanding 19 honorees and all that they have accomplished and continue to manage in the business world, sometimes it’s our small, quiet, and continuous efforts to simply help others, however we can, that can speak volumes.

So a big mahalo to Hawaii Business Magazine for this incredible honor and to The Salvation Army for this unexpected nomination! In addition, there are just so many people I need to thank for the past 20+20 years of support!

All this to encourage you to keep on doing whatever big or small thing you are doing, with the heart to serve others. Together, that’s how we will lead for the next 20+ years!
