Bringing Peace To Our World One Chocolate Story At A Time

$15.99

Summary:

“One of my greatest fears of coming out of COVID-19, is remaining exactly the same person I was before, and returning to the exact same thing. No difference. But if we’re returning to a “new normal,” wouldn’t that require a “new me?” Or, I should say, a better version of myself? A better version of the business? A better way of living this life together?”

In March 2020, I sat at home in a state of shock. I was just forced to temporarily shut down my chocolate business, Choco le`a, in Honolulu, Hawai`i. As the coronavirus spread, I anxiously thought about how I could continue to fulfill our mission of “Bringing peace to our world, one chocolate at a time”...with NO chocolates. It was a mission needed now more than ever. I also found myself suddenly at home, day after day, as a full-time mom and teacher to a 3- and 5-year-old as we navigated the challenges of distance learning and a stay-at-home order. Feeling down and distressed, I thought it could be the end of my business and this could be my last chance to share my testimony. So week after week, I poured out my heart from my journal, to weekly emails, to this book you now hold in your hands, not holding anything back, to simply be a friend through it all. As the pandemic continued on, my 20 honest reflections developed into 20 helpful and relevant routines to start living my best life now in COVID-19. Here I share the lessons learned, the opportunities now, and the hope for our future in a leap of faith. My prayer for you, my chocolate friend, is that through God and these stories, we will bring peace to your world, one chocolate story at a time.
