Keiki & Plow - Playground For Kids
I am soooo happy I discovered this place because if you’re looking for fun for you and your kids or a place to book a private party with no hassles outside, this is it!!!
Keiki and Plow is a locally owned small farm tucked away in Hawaii Kai conveniently just behind the hustle and bustle of community life so you feel “away” but you’re still close by to town.
I was pleasantly surprised with their “private playground” i booked for just $100 for up to 10 people. It gave us 2 hour access (9am - 11am) to the chicken coop (my daughter’s favorite), a couple of goats, a sand pit with dinosaurs and trucks (my son’s favorite), a wooden playground with a private shop, the cutest play kitchen with real pots and pans, and a giant fast slide that we can all go down together! I felt like a kid again and jumped in the fun!
You can see everyone running around in this contained area so it’s relaxing as a parent and a perfect idea if you’re looking to combine with another group of parents and have a play date!
We also purchased $10 baskets to walk around in the garden after and harvest vegetables and fruits to take home and eat. We saw a few sheep too, but the kids had the most fun pulling out the carrots from the ground.
It was simple, safe, outdoor fun and supporting this small business felt good. They have a gorgeous outdoor space for concerts and adults to also have events to consider for graduation, and older ones! :) But for me, the kids, their cousins, and some family…this was great!
Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back again! It’s also open to the public if you don’t want to rent the private playground!
Erin’s Experience Tips:
Plan for 2 hours and book the private playground with family or friends. It’s well worth it!
Dress cool and comfortable, but wear shoes.
Bring hand sanitizer wipes (though they have an outdoor sink to wash your hands)
Wear sunscreen if you will harvest. Otherwise the playground was in the shade. :)
Wear bug spray just in case.
Bring your camera! This is such an IG friendly area!
Buy the $10 little basket for the harvesting experience and plan to make roasted veggies or a salad when you get home. It solidifies the experience of how food is grown in the farm, and sold at the market, where we buy it, then bring it home to prep and eat!
