School Break Programs

Hi working parents!

What do you do when school goes on another break? I’m here to help!

When you are a working parent who doesn’t get Fall, Winter, Spring, and the loooooooong Summer breaks (or all of those state holidays or teacher professional days)off, every break sometimes can become stressful rather than enjoyable as you need to figure out how to continue working while taking care of your kids.

Thankfully, there are some great programs out there, but they are expensive. If you are fortunate to work from home, have a spouse at home, or retired grandparents or aunties willing to help, then great. But if you need to find coverage, here are a few places you can pay, so that we can go to work and get paid. :p #entrepreneurlife (Now I know why business owners just bring their kids to work with them! LOL)

-Nature Center

-Honolulu Zoo

-Discovery Center

-YMCA

-Ninja/Gymnastics Camp

-Art School

-Farms & Horse Camps

Also, check in with your school who may offer mentoring or special programs during the breaks by independent businesses. Another great option is your city and county neighborhood park!

If you know of more and can add any to the list, please let me know. In the mean time, I am considering starting my own chocolate camp during summer break with kids where I can teach them entrepreneurship all day! Three things I love: kids, chocolates, and teaching business! :p JK!

erin’s tip
