Pai Honolulu

"To celebrate life’s special moments,” Chris and I went for an early Valentine dinner in downtown.

In beautiful Harbor Court is a hidden gem you may have heard of because of all of the rewards they received, but perhaps never tried?

And you must try Pai Honolulu!

When I met Chef and owner Kevin Lee, his demeanor was so calm, he had a humble and kind confidence about him, and it made me curious to try his cooking. And this chef is a former food scientist with experience all over training in Michelin star restaurants, so I already went in with high hopes and he and his team did not disappoint.

Pai Honolulu is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday and so when we got a date night off to celebrate Valentine’s Day early, we booked online right away without even reading the menu. After reviewing the menu, I knew this would be a place my husband would like. And he sure did!

If you love quality ingredients, a slow dance of balanced flavors in your mouth, a calm and clean environment with authentically good service, and the most beautifully crafted dishes that will not disappoint….then you’ll love Pai!

The restaurant is clean, open, and modern. The kitchen is clean simple, calm, and the chefs are cooking right in front of you. The food comes out piping fresh and hot. The staff is kind and very approachable (loved Sierra and Devon)! And the food was so beautifully presented and left a clean and satisfied smile in my tummy.

Nothing was over powerful, but perfectly balanced. Chef Kevin makes things that don’t sound good together, absolutely work together! Like ginger chicken, risotto, and pesto. It was perfection.

My husband was thoroughly impressed and satisfied (and he can be a tough critic). He was intrigued by the ingredients and appreciated the presentation and flavor.

If you love a calm and clean atmosphere, easy parking, great quality and beautifully balanced food, this is your spot!

erin’s tip

When you come to Pai, you’re getting a top notch experience while also knowing that you’re supporting a small family owned business that opened in 2017, pivoted and made its way through the pandemic, and is doing amazing work with dedication and passion.
