Grandma’s Walker Scooter
Game changer.
After trying to get around on crutches and moving so slow, my armpits hurting from the pressure, and actually falling to the ground twice because I couldn’t balance right and was trying to go too fast or getting weak and tired from my lack of upper body strength, I asked around for a walker. And thankfully, my grandma not only had a walker, but a scooter walker!
I looked it up and this thing is about $80-100 online and so worth it.
Not only could I put one knee up and quickly scoot pushing off one foot and gliding on flat grounds and parking lots, but when I got tired, I immediately had a chair to sit on and catch my breath. That meant everything.
I didn’t even care what people thought, this thing has become my best friend and companion. I can also hang my bag on the handle or when my back or shoulders get tired from holding a backpack, I set it to rest on the seat. And if I really need to go far, I can sit on it and someone can push me.
I highly recommend this if you know someone who needs some help getting around.
Thank you to my friend Teresa who caught me in action with my new accessory. ;)
