Rocket Fuel

Are you a visionary or an integrator?

If you are the owner/leader of a business or organization or the head of operations/second in command in a business or organization, you should read “Rocket Fuel” by Gino Wickman.

I first heard talks about the “EOS system” and was recommended to read, “Traction” by my good friend Clifton. I think it was when I was in my season of almost burn out and he knew I needed to hear this. I didn’t read it at that time, but looking back, I wish I did sooner. When I became completely overwhelmed with too much on my plate at work and realizing that this business of mine could never grow further without the help of an integrator, I picked up Gino Wickman’s other book, “Rocket Fuel.”

It opened my eyes to really embrace that I am the visionary of my company and was in need of finding the right integrator to help me carry out the vision. Being both the visionary and the integrator was not sustainable anymore. If we wanted to grow, I had to let go.

A year after reading this, I decided to share it with two key team members believing that one of them may grow into the role of integrator. They said it was such an easy read that they actually read it all in one day! That’s a good sign so far! :p

It’s the first reading for our team professional development this year as we aim to create our company’s rocket fuel to launch us into our future!

If you are a business owner, planning for the future, innovating, planning, etc etc etc AND doing the day to day work to make all of it happen OR you know someone like this you want to help, this is worth the read!
