If you want to sit in a really pretty place, check out Podmore in Downtown, Honolulu.

I was watching the renovations of this old building on social media during the pandemic and was fascinated with the process of this new brunch & bar spot. I personally appreciate ambiance and the vision, talent, and skills that go into creating an environment that takes you to a whole other level of experience, simply with design and decor. For me, Podmore was it!

I felt like I was transported in time to the 1920’s with gold trims, rich lush velvet & leather seating, and little detailed engravings on the spoons. Podmore was absolutely breathtaking!

When my husband randomly asked me to a breakfast date on a work day, (which is completely not normal for us), I jumped at the opportunity for a little QT with him, took a hour off of work, and joined him on a weekday morning like I imagine glamorous downtown workers do! We got dressed up and took a quick little break from our usual busy schedules and routines and sitting in Podmore felt like we were living in a completely different world too!

If your hubby asks you to breakfast, say yes! Then pick someplace beautiful where you can feel relaxed. We spoiled ourselves to a little luxury for this special non-occasion.

You know a place is pretty when you want to take a selfie in the bathroom! I rarely do this, but check out the gold hinges even on the door! The details are everywhere from ceiling to floor.
