Half a Day in London, England
I need to come back here.
I’ve always wanted to visit London and I was so grateful we had a layover so got to spend half a day in this exciting city, but it came and went so fast! It was like a tease!
London felt like a taste of New York. Excitement, beautiful shops, restaurants, fashion on the streets, musicals and theatres, and high price tags everywhere.
In our short time, we spent a majority of the time at the Tower of London and looking at the crowned jewels which was pretty exciting. We grabbed a coffee in some outdoor domes to warm up from the cold, dinner, dessert, and walked back to our hotel catching glimpses of the fun and adorable little pubs all over the place. The night life was happening and Chinatown was bumping, but my favorite thing was listening to everyone speak with their beautiful British accents. :)
It was fun London, but I’ll be back.
finding peace by piece:
The one thing I am glad we did, is take a 20 minute walk back to our hotel after dinner rather than catching the metro. This allowed us to see a little more of London, get a feel of the space we were in, and see and hear the people out and about. Sometimes, just taking a walk around to get a grasp of where you are, is what you need to give you peace of mind that you “saw some things” in the middle of the go-go-go.
