Chubbies Burgers

This old school style simple diner has a menu of the perfect combo. I got the classic 50’s burger with the most amazing sauce and bun, a small size wrinkled fries that was a perfect, crisp outside, soggy inside, and the right amount of salt, and a not too thick, but thick enough strawberry milkshake that I slurped up like water.

That’s it. If this is your kind of food, you probably already know about this former food wagon in Kaka`ako turned restaurant! I remember when I first tried their burger and fries from the wagon, I was shocked by how much I enjoyed it! And when they opened a place where I could sit down and enjoy the food with a friend, I had to take my BFF for a quick catch up. Parking is widely available on-site at 75 cents per hour and they have great hours for lunch and dinner.

Burgers and fries aren’t usually my go-to, but I love the food here and just have to get my milkshake to wash it all down. It’s a comforting classic combo and it’s a great place to take a friend who also loves burgers & fries.
